Technical Workshop on Cross Linkages among Food System Actors and Aligning Food Systems in National Adaptation Plans and Nationally Determined Contributions

The Technical Workshop on Cross Linkages among Food System Actors and Aligning Food Systems in National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) was convened from November 25–26, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. Organized by Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), the Crop Trust, and the UNFCCC RCC Asia-Pacific, the workshop brought together government representatives from Lao PDR, Pakistan, and Vietnam, alongside gene bank managers, farmers’ alliances, researchers, and international agencies. The primary objective was to foster multi-stakeholder collaboration to support agriculture-related targets in national climate frameworks and to define priority areas for policy alignment.
